Justin shook his head. Everything was weird. Harry Potter wasn't best friends with Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy became a recluse, ignoring everyone. And all the students have seemed to be more depressed. He felt it too, a feeling of darkness looming in the distance, only, that distance has been closing in on him.
He continued to walk to the great hall for dinner. Students looked down, no one talking. The whole hall was strangely silent. Even the teachers kept to themselves. Justin sat at the Hufflpuff table somewhere in the middle. The students around him grunted their hellos, which was now scaring Justin, the Hufflpuffs have always been cheerful and friendly, saying hello with smiles.
After the meal, which was surrounded in deathly silence and a strong sense of depression, Dumbledore stood from his seat and cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention instantly.
"I am sure that all of you have felt down these past few days." Understatement. "The teachers and I have decided that you need something to raise your spirits." Students started to whisper to themselves. Justin smiled that those few words could bring some emotion out of the students. "There will be a fair, we ask any volunteers from fifth year and up to sign the sheet that was put up in your dorms. We will determine the dates and booths after we have all the names." Dumbledore smiled at them. "That is all. Good night." He sat.
A fair. That was his idea? Well, if it gets everyone's spirits up then I might as well volunteer.

Twelve volunteers were signed up already before Justin got to the list. He quickly signed his name and read the top 'Volunteers are to meet in the Transfiguration classroom at 3pm this Saturday.' Okay, he can do that. He turned and saw that the common room was alive with excitement. Students talking quickly, muggleborns telling purebloods what fairs were and trying to guess which booths would be there.
Justin grinned and started talking with his fellow Hufflpuffs about the fair.

The preparations for the fair were worked out pretty fast. The Hufflepuffs will be holding three booths with fifteen volunteers. They are running the Kissing booth, the snack booth, and the duck game, whatever that was. They would get instructions for their games at the next meeting.
The Gryfindors have thirteen volunteers, they have four booths though. They are running the dunking booth and three game booths.
Slytherin had nine volunteers and will have three booths as well. They will be holding the candy apple booth, the photo station, and they will be working with the Gryfindors on the dunking booth. Justin wants to see how that will work out.
And lastly, the Ravenclaws will be doing four arts booths, including face painting, with sixteen volunteers.

Justin was helping them set up for their snack booth when he head something behind him. Students were screaming and running from the dunking booth. He turned and saw a, thing, it was human shaped, but it had no face. The older students sent spell after spell at it, but nothing happened. The fire spells seemed to disperse before it got to it. most of the spells dispersed about a foot away from it.
The creature grabbed a first year by the ankle when she tried to run. She screamed and seemed to grow pale. She went limp after a second and the creature let go, going after other students who couldn't get away fast enough.
Justin ran around an unfinished booth and watched the thing. He wanted to do something, anything, to help. But even the teachers couldn't hurt the thing. He felt a feeling, the same one that hit him at random times throughout the years, only this time, it was so much more powerful. He gasped in shock. There in his hand was a black stone with a yellow stone in the middle. He looked around, but everyone was too busy to notice him.
He held the stones to his chest and whispered the first thing that came to mind.
"Hufflpuff help me be loyal."
A bright light surrounded him. The stone broke in two and centered before him, one before his chest, the other his pelvis. He felt his limbs grow thinner, his legs longer. He knew he was changing. He felt his clothes change, they were tighter then before. His shoes were different now too. The lights disappeared and left him standing on the dirt in yellow flats. He looked down and promptly squealed. His voice was higher then he had ever heard it, that might have to do with the fact that he was now a girl. He ran his hands down the costume, which was black and yellow.
"Merlin's beard." He muttered before his attention was brought back to the situation that took him behind the unfinished booth in the first place.
Another student screamed when his wrist was gripped by the thing. Justin didn't waste any more time behind the structure. He dashed out into the open and sent a well aimed kick at the things arm. It let go with a roar, that came from Merlin knows where. The boy limped away, some other students helping him to the side.
"Leave them alone!" He stood with his legs apart and his arms spread. The thing seemed to think about it for a second, or was waiting for instructions, before it attacked.
Justin kicked out with a roundhouse, knocking the thing back a foot. He then threw a few punches at it. The thing countered with a swing of its arms. Justin jumped back. He saw a piece of wood from one of the unfinished booths and picked it up. He threw it with all his strength at the thing. It hit with a resounding thud. The thing seemed a bit mad. Justin chuckled nervously when the thing roared angrily, even louder then the last time, and this time Justin knew exactly where the roar came from, because a large mouth appeared with hundreds of sharp teeth.
"No need to hurt anyone. Can't we just talk this out?" Justin flinched back when the thing roared again.
"No? Okay then." And he ran at it. He felt the thing grab his leg and toss him to the side. "Och." He landed on his butt. He huffed. "Let's try something new." he got to his feet and thrust his hand to the side. A khaki and gold wand appeared. It was thicker then he was used to, but it would work. He gripped it with both hands and looked up to see the creature looking right at him. "Hufflpuff Loyalty!" He screamed out and waved the wand in a wide circle, stopping with the wand above his head, letting it go with one hand and pointing at the creature.
"You attacked the wrong school!" He said before he slashed downward at it. A beam of yellow light burst forth and bisected the beast down the middle.
It blew up. Justin blinked in surprise, he hadn't been sure that it would work. The students cheered, the teachers rushed to the down students, making sure that they were okay.
But they weren't. Five students lay unconscious on the ground. Justin knelt down next to them. He heard the thunder before the fight and now the clouds covered the sky. He could feel a pules in his blood. A bolt of lightning seemed to connect with him. He placed his wand on the nearest student. The lightning flashed again. The boy gasped back to life, color returning to his skin. Justin did the same for the remaining students, gaining the same results.
He felt himself drained of power. He knew that something was going to happen, so he took off in a sprint to the castle. He made it there faster then normal. Just as he got to an alcove he felt the power that changed him vanish and in a burst of light, he was back. Only, he felt the stones in his hands, together again.
So. I am in a hotel right now. I have nothing to do so I have taken over the computer in their business center to write. I hope this is enjoyable for you! This is the first appearance of the sailors, I decided that Justin will be first. Harry will be last. I don't know who is next but the fair will go on! Yay! I didn't want to do another dance so I chose fair.
